You’ve been depressed for like a year now, I know. All the hardcore Objective-C developers have been having a hay-day writing apps for the iPhone. You might have even tried reading a tutorial or two about developing for the iPhone, but its C—or a form of it—and it’s really hard to learn.

Designing a blog with html5

Much of HTML 5′s feature set involves JavaScript APIs that make it easier to develop interactive web pages but there are a slew of new elements that allow you extra semantics in your conventional Web 1.0 pages. In order to investigate these, let’s look at marking up a blog.

The Power of HTML 5 and CSS 3

Web designers can do some pretty cool stuff with HTML 4 and CSS 2.1. We can structure our documents logically and create information-rich sites without relying on archaic, table-based layouts. We can style our web pages with beauty and detail without resorting to inline <font> and <br> tags. Indeed, our current design methods have taken us far beyond the hellish era of browser wars, proprietary protocols, and those hideous flashing, scrolling, and blinking web pages.

Create a stylish HTML5 template from scratch

HTML5 is certainly one of the latest buzzwords in the web community. It isn’t something new anymore and we’ve already seen how cool it is. Features like simplified doctype, more semantic markup, input types and placeholders are just some of the reasons you’d like to use a HTML5 template.

Web development is an area in which you have to keep up with the latest technologies and techniques, so that you are at the top of your game. And no wonder – this is an area which changes with an amazing pace. What is the standard now will be obsolete in just a couple of years.

The video element

The <video> element is brand new in HTML 5 and allows you to, get this, play a movie in your website! The data of this element is supposed to be video but it might also have audio or images associated with it. Of course, this will only work in a few browsers: Safari 3.1+, Firefox 3.5+, and latest builds of Opera (oh, and potentially the next release of Chrome).

It is bound to happen. Sooner or later, somebody is going to type in a wrong URL or follow a broken link to your site. This is when the notorious 404 page is displayed. To make the experience less frustrating, you can take the time and design a friendly error page, which will encourage your user to stay at your web site.

HTML5 is coming quicker than a lot of web designers are probably aware. You’ve probably seen the stories that it won’t actually be usable until 2022 but in reality, you can actually start using it today. Not all web browsers support CSS2.1, not all visitors are using software capable of using JavaScript but that doesn’t stop us from using it and it shouldn’t stop you using HTML5 either, and here’s why…

InLesson 1 and Lesson 2 of our HTML 5 tutorial, we looked at some new structural tags you can use to help eliminate the “div-soup” of HTML 4.x layouts, as well as some other semantic tags to help give your pages easy-to-parse dates, metadata and captioned images.

HTML 5 provides some great new features for web designers who want to code readable, semantically-meaningful layouts. However, support for HTML 5 is still evolving, and Internet Explorer is the last to add support. In this tutorial, we’ll create a common layout using some of HTML 5′s new semantic elements, then use JavaScript and CSS to make our design backwards-compatible with Internet Explorer. Yes, even IE 6.

Web design industry has gained immense popularity in past few decades. Since the Internet is now the best way to stay in touch with people throughout the world, having an online presence has become a necessity for every business person and also for a common man. When it comes to web designing, technology is inevitable. Infact, technology is the mere basis of web designing that has given birth to this phenomenon.

From having simple technology to be able to make web designs, web designers now have a lot of latest technology and techniques to make a good website and that too with less hassle. Technology has been driving web designing web industry lately and will continue to do so because of the ever growing needs. The basic objective of technology is to make a web designer’s life convenient and easy; however, it is entirely up to designer himself how to use the technology in the best possible way. Like updating business cards with fresh information, you need to continually update your web design skills.

Following are a few latest technologies which can prove to be really beneficial for web designers if used in a proper way:

Latest Web Markups – HTML5 and CSS3

Undoubtedly, HTML5 and CSS3 have been really popular among the designers recently. The good thing is that everyone is adjusting and improving with the new technology which is why modern web browsers have understood the importance of HTML5 and CSS3. Not only browsers, even big mobile phone companies such as iphone etc have made an effort to recognize the value of HTML5 and CSS3.

As a designer, if you want to become part of the main stream, you should be aware of such technologies and being aware is not enough. Proper usage is way too important and these two markups can be used in any of the current projects of web designers and it can make work better and convenient.

Web Typography

Web typography has recently gained a lot of popularity in web designing and is being widely used by designers. This has given a whole new direction to the fonts which are used in making of a website. Earlier, designers had a very limited set of fonts but now with the help of new web services such as Fond deck or Google font API has helped designers in coming out of the set fonts which are being used for years now.

This has not only brought a positive change but has also given designers a wide variety of typographic fonts to choose from. However, it is up to the designers’ own aesthetics to use the correct font which looks good, is readable and is harmonious with the website and its designs.

Mobile Web

The technology in mobiles is evolving like anything. Apple has recently launched iPad and now people have smart phones, android, Macbook Air and what not to stay n touch with everyone around the world. With the invention of such mobile phones, browsing has taken a new direction completely. Now people can access their emails and other websites with the help of wi-fi or any other network.

It is designers’ responsibility to design the website in a way so that it is compatible for all platforms, nevertheless of the browser or the device being used for web browsing. Designers can obviously design separate interface for iPhones and smart phones which adds a lot to the website’s usability.

JavaScript

JavaScript is an important part of web designing. Although, the technological development in JavaScript specifications has not been done to a great level but the importance of JavaScript in web designing cannot be denied. Web designers should have an idea of how to use JavaScript properly.

Functionality of the Website

A lot of designers focus more on the layout of the website instead of making sure that website is fictional and has an easy navigation. Usage of technology is always good but it should be used in order to make the visitor of your audience convenient and easy instead of making it complicated. Do not use technology in your website just for the sake of it.

Use it only when it is necessary because a user will come to your website for the sake of information and if he has problems in finding it, he will leave your website regardless of the fact if it has been made with the best technology.

When To Use Technology?

Technology is a blessing for web designers; however, it all depends on the person using it as when to use it so that it gives the best results. You can always use these high tech features as a web designer in order to create your website but your website should basically serve its purpose. Before you indulge yourself in the technological blessings for the web, you need to determine the purpose behind your website. If you are making an e commerce website, obviously the technology used will be a little different in comparison to what a normal website will use.

Final Thoughts

Technology has made lives of every human being easier. However, everything has its own pros and cons and same goes for technology. When it comes to web designing, technology has a lot of positive effects. It makes your work easier and enables you to produce best results in limited time. Many famous and call-to-action websites of the world owe their mere existence to technological advancements in web designing.

However, if you will go over board with technology, you might end up messing your website. Even as a designer, you should understand what technology is required and when. Do not use tit because everyone else is. Use technology if it is required in your project. Always remember, it should be used to make things simple as this is the purpose behind technology. Web designing can be very tough as merging creativity and technology is not an easy task. But this is exactly when you need to show your designing skills by making the proper usage of technology.

As my experience we always close to the latest technologies as we have one step ahead on web development techniques as HTML5. HTML 5 is the advanced version of HTML. HTML 5 is giving new techniques and advanced features/structure in designing. These new features and tags makes designing very easy to create a web page.

CSS3 and HTML 5 are capable of revolutionizing the way we design websites. Both include so many new features and functions that it can be hard to wrap your head around them at times. HTML5 is giving web designers and developers new capabilities that were things of fantasy with previous versions of HTML. Web pages will now be more semantic with the use of structure specific tags. The inclusion of native support for things like rounded corners and multi-column layouts are just the tip of the ice berg.

When saying about HTML5, developers mean the new semantic structural tags, API specs like canvas or offline storage, new inline semantic tags, etc. HTML5, in fact, is aimed at creating a comprehensive markup language for front-end development, able to provide qualitative information on the different elements of the page. But to help make some sense of what’s new and essential in HTML5, you could review some helpful and indispensable HTML5 tutorials that go over many of the major HTML5 aspects and new standards.

In an front-end development effort to encourage our respected visitors and readers to do the same and to prepare you for the future, we’ve rounded up “HTML5 Techniques – Ultimate Collection of Tutorials“.

How to Make an HTML5 iPhone App

You’ve been depressed for like a year now, I know. All the hardcore Objective-C developers have been having a hay-day writing apps for the iPhone. You might have even tried reading a tutorial or two about developing for the iPhone, but its C—or a form of it—and it’s really hard to learn.

I don’t want to say that you should give up on the objective: you can get it eventually. But in the meantime, there is something else that you can do. You can create a native app that lives with all the other apps, and for the most part, it’s going to be a pitch-perfect imitation. You can do this with the skill set you probably already have: HTML(5), CSS, and JavaScript.

A Marriage Made in Heaven? HTML 5 and CSS3

Perhaps foreshadowed by Google’s adoption of HTML 5, Jeffrey Zeldman pointed out late last week; the future of XHTML 2 is no more. Obviously the selectors we use in CSS 3 depend on the underlying markup we work with, so this news is very interesting and we think timely. As CSS 3 support inches forward with each browser release and as JavaScript libraries supplement poor browser behavior, the need for web developers and enthusiasts to be able to focus their attention has become a paramount concern.

In this tutorial, we are going to build a blog page using next-generation techniques from HTML 5 and CSS 3. The tutorial aims to demonstrate how we will be building websites when the specifications are finalized and the browser vendors have implemented them. If you already know HTML and CSS, it should be easy to follow along.

As far as we’ve come using HTML 4 and CSS 2.1, however, we can do better. We can refine the structure of our documents and increase their semantic precision. We can sharpen the presentation of our stylesheets and advance their stylistic flexibility. As we continue to push the boundaries of existing languages, HTML 5 and CSS 3 are quickly gaining popularity, revealing their collective power with some exciting new design possibilities.

HTML5 is the future of web development but believe it or not you can start using it today. HTML5 is much more considerate to semantics and accessibility as we don’t have to throw meaningless div’s everywhere. It introduces meaningful tags for common elements such as navigation’s and footers which makes much more sense and are more natural.

This is a run through of the basics of HTML5 and CSS3 while still paying attention to older browsers. Before we start, make note of the answer to this question.

HTML5 isn’t here just yet, but the Working Draft is complete enough for us to play around and get to grips with the exciting new elements we can use in our code. To learn how a few of these elements can be used, let’s put together a simple website for say, a fictional iPhone app. How about we use the recent tutorial I wrote over at Tutorial9 as a base for our app website? This tutorial covered the process of building an interface just like the awesome apps from Tapbots, so head over and check it out, then we’ll be ready to build an accompanying website for our PKE Meter application.

Can we use HTML5 today? What can we do with it? Is it really going to kill Flash? You must have noticed a gradual increase in the frequency of these and similar questions being asked, debated and even answered. In my opinion, you must answer such fundamental questions yourself.

The whole purpose of this article is to help you get started with some basic guidelines and easy to follow code templates. If you are familiar with the basics and want to take things to the next level, you will also find several useful resources providing more tips, tricks and techniques.

HTML5 Features

Official Specification Document is the best place to look for HTML5 features, but you can also start with simple and easy to follow HTML5 Tag Reference at W3Schools. We will cover following features in this article:

Form Enhancements

HTML5 and CSS3 have just arrived (kinda), and with them a whole new battle for the ‘best markup’ trophy has begun. Truth to be told, all these technologies are mere tools waiting for a skilled developer to work on the right project. As developers we shouldn’t get into pointless discussions of which markup is the best. They all lead to nowhere. Rather, we must get a brand new ideology and modify our coding habits to keep the web accessible.

While it is true HTML5 and CSS3 are both a work in progress and is going to stay that way for some time, there’s no reason not to start using it right now. After all, time’s proven that implementation of unfinished specifications2 does work and can be easily mistaken by a complete W3C recommendation. That’s were Progressive Enhancement and Graceful Degradation come into play.

Just because you didn’t get to go to that awesome conference doesn’t mean that you can’t still watch the lectures! Each weekend, we’ll feature a recommended web development lecture on Nettuts+.

In December of last year, Remy Sharp spoke at CODEBITS about the various new HTML5 APIs. In the talk, he covers the video element, canvas, web storage, and other techniques.

What once required background images and icons can now be created with plain-old CSS. Because modern browsers have access to things like box shadow, gradients, rounded corners, text-shadows, and font-face, we can finally take advantage of this and remove any need for images, when creating visual elements, such as buttons! I’ll show you how in today’s video tutorial.

Quick Tip: Mimic Equal Columns with CSS3 Gradients

What happens when your main content area needs two specific background colors: one for the primary content, and another for the sidebar? If you’ve ever tried applying the background to each container itself, you’ll no doubt have realized that your layout quickly becomes fragmented as soon as, say, the primary content section exceeds the height of the sidebar.

Generally, the solution is to set a background image on the parent element, and set it to repeat vertically. However, if we get clever with CSS3 gradients, we can achieve the same effect with zero images. The irony in this is that we’re using CSS3 gradients to create an effect that doesn’t contain a gradient! Read on to learn more.

Forms are usually seen as that obnoxious thing we have to markup and style. I respectfully disagree: forms (on a par with tables) are the most exciting thing we have to work with.

Here we’re going to take a look at how to style a beautiful HTML5 form using some advanced CSS and latest CSS3 techniques. I promise you will want to style your own forms after you’ve read this article.

Firstly what we’ll do is use the header, footer, and nav elements to mark up the broad structure of the page. We’ll make the blog comments form much smarter by using the new data types and built-in validation available in HTML 5-aware browsers.

Then we’ll do some work on the guts of the page, using HTML 5’s article elements to better mark up blog posts and comments and show how to use the section elements to better structure accessible hierarchical headings on sites that are CMS-driven. As blogs are chronologically ordered, we’ll see what HTML 5 offers us for representing dates and times.

In promotion of what I consider to be the best HTML5 book currently available on the market, Remy Sharp and Bruce Lawson agreed to donate a chapter of Introducing HTML5 to our readers, which details the ins and outs of working with HTML5 video and audio.

A LONG TIME AGO, in a galaxy that feels a very long way away, multimedia on the Web was limited to tinkling MIDI tunes and animated GIFs. As bandwidth got faster and compression technologies improved, MP3 music supplanted MIDI and real video began to gain ground. All sorts of proprietary players battled it out—Real Player, Windows Media, and so on—until one emerged as the victor in 2005: Adobe Flash, largely because of the ubiquity of its plugin and the fact that it was the delivery mechanism of choice for YouTube.

HTML5 provides a competing, open standard for delivery of multimedia on the Web with its native video and audio elements and APIs. This article largely discusses the <video> element, as that’s sexier, but most of the markup and scripting are applicable for both types of media.

I’m sure that who chooses to work as web designer makes a choice of heart, a choice of love. He/she decides to bet any given day on his creativity and his ability of producing an idea and of making it tangible, visible and perceptible for all. These crazy men have my respect. But, also when the creative side is very important for a work, there exists a logical (and technical) part in all creative process.

There are some moments and situations in which the creative mind needs an analytical method to achieve the objective, that is, for us, the creation of a well-done website.

In his article on Design Informer titled “Web Design Iterations And Algorithm,” Adit Gupta explains how we can approach a web design work and how a website project can be processed in a number of iterations following a main algorithm. Well, generally it’s just how Adit has described.

Web development is an area in which you have to keep up with the latest technologies and techniques, so that you are at the top of your game. And no wonder – this is an area which changes with an amazing pace. What is the standard now will be obsolete in just a couple of years.

But changes do not come from nowhere. The early adopters are already using what we are going to use day-to-day a few years from now. One of these technologies is HTML5 – the new version of the fundamental language of the web.

Today we are making a HTML5 web template, using some of the new features brought by CSS3 and jQuery, with the scrollTo plug-in. As HTML5 is still a work in progress, you can optionally download a XHTML version of the template here.

Get a Consistent Base Font Size

Until IE finally supports the resizing of text in pixels, this is the best technique to gain full control over your font sizes. By setting the body
font-size
to 62.5%, that will set your font size to 10 pixels. That way, 1em is equal to 10 pixels.

Although I typically then set my container
font-size
to 1.2em, which in turn sets the
font-size
to 12 pixels. But still, then you know that 1em is equal to 12 pixels.

CSS Sprites

CSS sprites is the technique of combing images to lessen the number of calls that need to be made to the server. Then you just shift the position of the background image to view the correct part of the image. May sound complicated, but it just takes a little math. Note: In both of these examples, I am using the Image Replacement technique discussed above.

All the code, templates and files are accessible for you to play with, and we encourage you to download and play with what is provided. The design template is licensed under the creative commons licence.

CSS Template Tutorial: Setting Up

Okay welcome to part one of the tutorial. What you will be doing in this part is setting everything up to begin coding your template for your website. This tutorial is for slicing a design made in Photoshop and coding it in Dreamweaver. You can also access example code at a variety of stages through the tutorial if you have any problems.

Web Design Layout: Site Build

Hello everybody today I’ll be showing you how to code the web design layout #9 PSD. I lately setup a poll to see which one you all required to see as a coded tutorial, and this one won. Thanks to everybody who took part in the obedience process.

Converting a Design From PSD to HTML: Screencast

Several weeks ago, I showed you how to take a PSD design and convert it into HTML and CSS. Given the attractiveness of that meticulous tutorial, I’ve determined to create a second series. Though, I’m not much of a designer. Instead, I asked Collis if he would allow me to use the design that he used for a recent tutorial for Web Design Week.

PSD to HTML Slicing Tutorial

Ok, as I’ve said HERE, my great psd slicing tutorial is done. Please note that it is my very first video tutorial so I’m sorry for this things:

If I cut out too much parts (yes, some parts like ALT-TAB window, start menu showing, and so on are missing). I considered that those parts are not essential so, to reduce size, I’ve cut them out.

If it’s taking too long. The tutorial consists in two parts, both are around 30 minutes. I wanted to play them at 150-200% speed, but I quit. I offer a download alternative (besides the online playing), so you can download files and play them in your favorite media player with higher speed.

If I have language errors. English is not my native language, so I made mistakes. Some mistakes I’ve seen, some not. But it takes way to long to edit the videos again and again. I consider that errors are acceptable because the final result (which is that you understand how it’s made) is more important.

Here is a basic design composition. The problem now becomes turning it into code while maintaining the style and arrangement that was determined upon as well as making sure that the site is reachable across browsers/platforms and is as light and graceful as possible.

Let’s start you have your website built and coded into CSS/XHTML and you want to change it over to a WordPress Theme. Initially let me explain a few things.
Wordpress works in a quite undemanding manner but it may seem perplexing if you are totally new to the concept. WordPress relies on PHP to call on dissimilar parts of your content from the database management system it stands on. If you view my code to my site you will notice i use PHP to call some aspects of my page. Once you get ongoing its pretty easy although sympathetic of CSS/PHP/XHTML is necessary and will guide you through the setup of a full working WordPress theme.

Bloopress WordPress Theme

now today we offering a big deal in “free Bloopress WordPress Theme” which will a complete solution of a great blogging website, even you can compete other famous blogs too after use this theme, hope you leave your comments too.

Download Source File

Site To WordPress Tutorial

Now you should already have your site intended and coded into CSS/XHTML before attempting this tutorial, initially create a new folder on your desktop, name this folder what ever you want (e.g my theme). Now open up notepad don’t type something just go to “file > save as” and save it has style.css then go to “file > save as” again and save it as index.php. Now believe it or not but these are the only 2 files you actually need for a WordPress theme.
Open up your style sheet to your website, highlight it all then Copy/Paste into the blank “style.css” file you just created.
Now copy/paste this bit of code into the top of your style.css file.
/*
Theme Name: Replace with your Theme’s name.
Theme URI: Your Theme’s URI
Description: A brief description.
Version: 1.0
Author: You
Author URI: Your website address.
*/
Change the lines of code in red to outfit your needs. These few lines of code are what WordPress uses to describe it as a wordpress theme/template.

Photoshop PSD to CSS to WordPress Pt.3

Hello welcome to part 3 of the Photoshop PSD to CSS to WORDPRESS Tutorial, in this part of the tutorial we’ll be converting our CSS template into a working WordPress theme. You can download the theme for free using the button below you can also down all 3 tutorials in PDF format.

Before we start converting our theme over to WordPress you might want to download and install “xamp” this will allow you to run wordpress on your local hard drive saving on bandwidth and internet load times. Your also leaving to need a theme by “elliot jay stocks” called “starkers”.

The theme is a totally naked theme, its been stripped of all its CSS and HTML, essentially giving you a blank WordPress canvas to work on, its perfect for WordPress developers to start from. The theme uses files from wordpress 2.6.2. But this doesn’t mean its not going to work with the newest wordpress software, i started with the precise same theme to build my website and that’s running in wordpress 2.7. If your thinking “bummer i wanted threaded comments” well you can easily grab a 2.7 comments file and replace it. Hopefully “elliot jay stocks” will liberate a naked 2.7 theme soon. Any way lets press on once you’ve downloaded the “stalkers theme” extract it to your desktop, rename the stalkers theme folder to “mywordpress”, you can also change the screenshot if you wish.

In your stalkers theme there is a folder called “style” inside this folder are some supplementary CSS files for IE hacks, typography and reset files. You don’t really need this folder so if you want to you can delete it, but keep it by all means if you wish to keep it. Open up the “style.css” file in the main “mywordpress” theme directory. Once its open you’ll be greeted with this.

Save your .CSS file when you load up the theme in wordpress under the appreance tab you’l now see this.

All the content we add now will be pasted in underneath the body tag. Copy your images folder from your CSS templates directory and paste it into the themes directory. Open up your index.html file from your CSS template. Copy everything from the opening “container DIV” to the ending “navigation DIV”. Paste it underneath the body tag. Save your header.php file, if you check the theme in your browser it should look like this.

hvdesigns.com helping for make a complete website design with source. Hello welcome to part 2 of the 5 page template series. Today we’ll be converting our PSD into a one page working HTML/CSS template. In part 3 we’ll begin to add our additional pages.
Right lets get started, the first thing you need to do is create a empty HTML and blank CSS file inside a folder called “your project”, save your blank HTML file as index.html and your blank CSS file as styles.css. Also inside your folder create an empty folder called images.

Open up your blank HTML file and add your website title inbetween the title tag, underneath the title tag link your css file.

Before we start to add our styles in the style sheet we need to create a few images from our PSD file. Open up your PSD file in photoshop, hide all the layers associated with the featured area then make a selection like this.

Make sure you select the background beneath the divider line, the selection should also be the whole width of your canvas (900px). Save the file as “bg.png” inside your images folder. You also need to make a selection around your website logo.

Acquire your selection around the logo has tight as you can get it. Copy and paste your logo to a new canvas with a transparent background then save the image as “logo.png”. We now also need the background in the header, so make a selection around the top part of the header including the divider line.

You don’t have to use the big image if you don’t want to, if you favor you can use a chunk of the background and replicate it then code the divider line separately. Right now we have some images to work with lets begin to add our css styles, head over to your css style sheet and add the following code. (Refer to commented code for each style)

Save your work and test your layout in firefox and internet explorer, the navigation should now work as planned. Also in our navigation code you will notice the “home” link has an ID of current this ID of current will principally keep the link hover styling for that precise page, so if your on the home page the medium solid blue line will stay under the link “home” when we create our additional pages later on we’ll need to remove the ID of current from the home link and add it to another link which ever page your making next.

Moving on… we now have to code up our featured section, head over to your PSD file, the images we need to slice are the little bullet point in the featured title area, our featured image with frame, our left button and our right button.

Save all images unconnectedly on transparent backgrounds within your images folder. We can now begin to add our div’s for our featured area. Add the following code beneath our ending div for our top rudiments but above our header ending div. I’ve also added dummy text and titles for our featured area.

Time to move onto our main content area, we’ll be start with the left content first. The boxes for our content will all be made using css. If you look at the PSD file you will see the boxes have two strokes in two different colors we can accomplish this by creating a div with one of the borders, then inside that div create another div slightly smaller with the other border added. We mock it up like this.

Making a Premium WordPress themes in Photoshop Tutorials from scratch is an necessary skill for designers to learn and will become increasingly significant as WordPress continues to become the web publishing tool of choice. In this two part tutorial will we cover how to make Premium WordPress themes happen. Part 1, enclosed below, shows how the Photoshop mockup is created, and in Part 2 we’ll sketch how to turn the PSD into HTML/CSS and wordpress theme files.

Premium WordPress Theme Design Part 1 – The Photoshop Mock Up

I’m Alvaro Guzman and in part 1 I’ll show you how to design a contemporary web interface from scratch using Photoshop and stock pictures. You can download the finished PSD file at the end of this tutorial. Initially let’s have a look at the finished PSD mock up:

Download the photoshop psd file

Premium WordPress Theme Design – Part 2 – HTML + CSS + WordPress Theme Files

Hi, I’m Alvaro Guzman and this is the second part of the Premium WordPress theme tutorial continued from Part 1. This time you’ll learn how to slice the design and change it into XHTML + CSS, then I’ll show you how to use the css files to mock-up a WordPress template. This isn’t a essential tutorial, if you’re a newbie, maybe you should read some basic HTML+CSS tutorials, and understand the fundamentals of CSS tags and WordPress features and structure.

If you’re a programmer, you must have some basic information about Phothoshop, layers, slicing and obviously WordPress. Anyway, if you’re an intermediate – advanced level Web Designer, I’m sure you’ll find this useful.
