Making the ‘Clean Grunge’ Blog Design

I’m not really sure whether ‘clean grunge’ is an official tendency of web design, but in my eyes it’s absolutely an important one. For me, clean grunge websites are a amalgamation of the grungy with the purposeful, the messy with the prearranged. The results of this are some of my preferred all time designs. Too often purely grungy websites movable out on usability, and are more works of art than they are functional websites. Likewise, clean websites often lack the creativity established in more grungy/artistic designs. Therefore for me ‘clean grunge’ has the best of both worlds.
Clean Grunge designs typically exhibit similar characteristics, which I will try to capture in today’s design:
